The advent of World Economy Globalization demands for much more efficient, flexible, highly competitive and determined organizations, qualities that will assure their survival in the resulting, ever-increasing competitive environment. The emergence of large Tour Operating conglomerates, achieved through a variety of mergers and acquisitions, coupled with the instigation of Hotel Groups, are increasingly dictating the environment in which only fully committed players are allowed to compete in.

Further, these market forces demand for the provision of increased Capital and Human Recourses investments, which at present are not readily available to the independent operator, resulting in diminished competitiveness and eventual capitulation which has one of two consequences: cessation of operation that of being overwhelmed by larger and more committed organizations.
